L'une d'elles a été présentée par un député indépendant, deux viennent du Bloc québécois et une autre du Parti réformiste. Grâce à la liberté qu'il a maintenant, les ministériels pouvant voter librement sur les projets de loi d'initiative parlementaire, le comité a adopté, avec l'accord et l'approbation du Parti réformiste et du Bloc, une procédure qui assure que ces projets de loi ne puissent pas rester en panne au comité.
The committee, because of the new freedom in terms of government members voting freely on private members' bills, has put in place with the consent and the approbation of the Reform Party and the Bloc a procedure so that these bills cannot get buried in committee, that they will be treated with the respect they deserve.
