Je me demande si le Président a jamais pensé que nous pourrions peut-être demander, avant d'entreprendre la troisième lecture d'un projet de loi, que le gouvernement indique s'il fournira la recommandation royale. Autrement, on se trouvera à prendre du temps de la Chambre pour débattre une motion, en l'occurrence l'adoption d'un projet de loi à l'étape de la troisième lecture, en sachant déjà que le projet de loi ne fera jamais l'objet d'un vote.
I wonder if the Speaker has ever thought that we should maybe ask that before we begin the third reading stage of a bill, the government either indicate that it will provide the royal recommendation, or otherwise the time of the House will be taken up to debate a motion namely, the acceptance of a bill at third reading, knowing that the bill will never be voted on.
