C’est pourquoi je voudrais faire part de mon soutien inconditionnel au rapporteur Callanan et à la proposition de la Commission, qui vise à rendre les bateaux de plaisance plus compatibles avec les normes environnementales en vigueur, notamment les émissions gazeuses et sonores des moteurs, qui portent tellement préjudice à l’environnement de la région et au bien-être des vacanciers.
It is in this context that I wish to express my unconditional support for the rapporteur, Mr Callanan and for the Commission proposal that seeks to make recreational craft more compatible with environmental standards in force, particularly exhaust emissions and engine noise, which damage both the environment of the region and the well-being of its holidaymakers.
