(4) considérant qu'une population homogène soumise à déclaration est nécessaire à la production d'un bilan consolidé du secteur des institutions financières monétaires des États membres participants, dont le principal objectif est de fournir à la BCE un tableau statistique global des évolutions monétaires dans les États membres participants, considérés comme un seul territoire économique; que la BCE a établi et met à jour une «Liste des institutions financières monétaires à des fins statistiques» fondée sur une définition commune de ces institutions;
(4) Whereas a homogeneous reporting population is necessary for the production of the consolidated balance sheet of the Monetary Financial Institutions sector of the participating Member States, the principal aim of which is to provide the ECB with a comprehensive statistical picture of monetary developments in the participating Member States, seen as one economic territory; whereas the ECB has established and maintains a List of Monetary Financial Institutions for statistical purposes based on a common definition of these institutions;
