− (IT) Monsieur le Président, Mesdames et Messieurs, je salue le rapport présenté par M. Pomés Ruiz, puisqu’il représente une mesure supplémentaire pour rendre les institutions européennes plus responsables et transparentes et puisqu’il doit permettre à tous les citoyens d’examiner et de surveiller de plus près le processus décisionnel entourant l’utilisation des fonds UE, améliorant ainsi les principes de base de notre système démocratique.
− (IT) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, I welcome the report presented by Mr Pomés Ruiz, as it represents a further measure to make the European institutions more accountable and transparent, and is designed to enable all citizens more closely to scrutinise and monitor the decision-making process surrounding the use of EU funds, thereby enhancing the basic principles of our democratic system.
