Je voudrais profiter de l’occasion pour dénoncer l’action du Conseil, qui a adopté ces mesures avant que certaines procédures aient été menées à bien au sein du Parlement, ainsi que la modification arbitraire de la disposition sur les éléments d’identification biométriques dans les passeports des citoyens européens, passant d’une simple photo numérisée à une photo et des empreintes digitales.
I should like to take this opportunity to denounce the action of the Council, which adopted these measures before procedures had been completed in Parliament, as well as the arbitrary change to the provision on mandatory biometric identifiers in the passports of European citizens, from a digital photograph only to a photograph and fingerprint.
