Le règlement (CEE, Euratom, CECA) no 259/68 du Conseil du 29 février 1968 fixant le statut des fonctionnaires des Communautés européennes ainsi que le régime applicable aux autres agents de ces Communautés s’applique à leur personnel , et le protocole sur les privilèges et immunités des Communautés européennes s’applique à ces organismes et à leur personnel.
Regulation (EEC, Euratom, ECSC) No 259/68 of the Council of 29 February 1968 laying down the Staff Regulations of Officials and the Conditions of Employment of other Servants of the European Communities applies to their staff, and the Protocol on Privileges and Immunities of the European Communities applies to them and to their staff.

(13) It is appropriate to treat the staff of the Foundation, which is the only Community Agency with its own Staff Regulations, in the same manner as other officials and other servants engaged under contract by the Communities and to entitle them to the same benefits as those enjoyed under the new Staff Regulations of the European Communities, while at the same time respecting acquired rights, especially with respect to careers and pension rights.

The need to ensure stable employment conditions and equal treatment of staff, taking into account the experience gained from the JET Joint Undertaking, in order to attract specialised scientific and technical staff of the highest calibre, requires the application of the Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Communities and the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Communities, laid down by Regulation (EEC, Euratom, ECSC) No 259/68 (the Staff Regulations) to all the staff recruited by the Joint Undertaking.

30. 30. In the third paragraph of Article 25, "shall at once be posted in the premises of the institution to which the official belongs and shall be published in the Monthly Staff Bulletin of the Communities" is replaced by "shall be brought to the attention of the staff in the institution to which the official belongs and shall be published in the Monthly Staff Bulletin of the Communities ".

In order to ensure the application of the same standards as for the selection of permanent staff, the European Communities Personnel Selection Office may be involved in selection procedures organised for the recruitment of temporary staff, engaged in accordance with Article 2(c) of the Conditions of Employment of other servants of the European Communities, to assist a political group in the European Parliament.

2. Les documents contenant des renseignements relatifs à la vie privée ou professionnelle d'une personne déterminée, en ce compris les dossiers du personnel des Communautés européennes, sont accessibles conformément aux dispositions du règlement (CE) n°45/2001 relatif à la protection des personnes physiques à l'égard du traitement des données à caractère personnel par les institutions et organes communautaires, notamment ses articles 4 et 5.
2. Documents containing information on the private or professional life of individual persons, including files of staff of the European Communities, shall be disclosed in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies, and in particular Articles 4 and 5 thereof.

(1) La directive 95/46/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 24 octobre 1995 relative à la protection des personnes physiques à l'égard du traitement des données à caractère personnel et à la libre circulation de ces données(4) exige que les États membres protègent les droits et les libertés des personnes physiques à l'égard du traitement des données à caractère personnel, et notamment le droit au respect de leur vie privée, afin d'assurer la libre circulation des données à caractère personnel dans la Communauté.
