Son expérience s’est enrichie au fil des quatre années passées au sein de ce Parlement, une expérience qui a - selon moi - transformé sa personnalité. Jadis homme politique qui ne croyait pas réellement aux vertus de l’Union européenne et aux bénéfices pour son pays, il nous prouve aujourd’hui avec ce rapport qu’il est convaincu que nous pouvons faire évoluer les choses d’ici, pour le plus grand bien de Malte, mais aussi de l’Union européenne dans son ensemble.
He has gained four years’ experience in this Parliament, and this experience has, I believe, transformed his character from that of a politician who did not really believe in the European Union and the benefits it could offer Malta, to that of one who, through this report, has shown us that he truly believes that from here we can change politics not only in our own country, but also in the European Union.
