The PIC allows importing parties to the Convention to inform exporting parties on whether they agree to imports of the hazardous chemicals listed in the Convention.

The obligations of exporting Parties under this paragraph shall apply with effect from the expiration of a period of six months from the date on which the Secretariat first informs the Parties, in accordance with paragraph 10 of Article 10, that a Party has failed to transmit a response or has transmitted an interim response that does not contain an interim decision, and shall apply for one year’.

Dès l'entrée en vigueur du présent accord et conformément aux dispositions de l'article 12, la partie importatrice informe la partie exportatrice de ses exigences sanitaires et phytosanitaires à l'importation pour les produits visés aux appendices I. A et I. B. Ces informations doivent comporter, le cas échéant, les modèles de certificats ou d'attestations officiels prescrits par la partie importatrice.
Upon entry into force of this Agreement and in accordance with the provisions of Article 12, the importing Party shall inform the exporting Party of its sanitary and phytosanitary import requirements for commodities referred to in Appendices I. A and I. B. This information shall include, as appropriate, the models for the official certificates or attestations, as prescribed by the importing Party.

5. a) Conformément aux dispositions de l'article 13, la partie exportatrice qui sollicite auprès de la partie importatrice la reconnaissance d'une décision de régionalisation concernant des maladies animales doit notifier les mesures adoptées en fournissant des explications détaillées et en communiquant les informations sur lesquelles elle a fondé ses déterminations et décisions.
5 (a) As regards animal diseases and in accordance with the provisions of Article 13, the exporting Party seeking recognition of its regionalisation decision by the importing Party shall notify its measures with full explanation and supporting data for its determinations and decisions.

a) En vertu des dispositions de l'article 12, la partie exportatrice informe la partie importatrice de toute proposition de modification de ses mesures pour lesquelles l'équivalence est reconnue et de l'effet probable des mesures proposées sur l'équivalence qui a été reconnue.
(a) In accordance with the provisions of Article 12, the exporting Party shall inform the importing Party of any proposal for amendment of its measures for which equivalence of measures is recognised and the likely effect of the proposed measures on the equivalence which has been recognised.

Si la partie importatrice le demande, la partie exportatrice est tenue de fournir des explications détaillées ainsi que toute autre information jugée utile afin de faciliter les déterminations et les décisions couvertes par le présent article.
The exporting Party shall, if requested by the importing Party, provide full explanation and supporting data for the determinations and decisions covered by this Article.
