2. Le Parlement européen met en place un système de gestion de la sécurité des informations conformément à ces principes de base et normes minimales, qui vise à faciliter le travail parlementaire et administratif tout en assurant la protection de toute information confidentielle traitée par le Parlement européen, dans le plein respect des règles établies par l'autorité d'origine de cette information comme prévu dans les consignes de sécurité.

The European Parliament shall set up an information security management system (ISMS) in accordance with those basic principles and minimum standards which shall aim at facilitating Parliamentary and administrative work, while ensuring the protection of any confidential information processed by the European Parliament, in full respect of the rules established by the originator of such information as laid down in the security notices.

Car, en effet, les deux initiatives qui font l'objet de notre échange de vues d'aujourd'hui concernent avant tout les travaux techniques en vue de la mise en place du SIS II. Cette mise en place requiert également l'adoption, le moment venu, des mesures législatives fondées sur les bases juridiques appropriées dans les traités et sur lesquelles le Parlement européen sera consulté.
Because, in fact, the two initiatives we are discussing today relate, above all, to the technical work involved in the implementation of the SIS II. This implementation also requires the adoption, when the time comes, of legislative measures based on the appropriate bases in the Treaties, which the European Parliament will be consulted on.
