That's section 507, but subsection 574(3) provides that a trial for an indictable offence in the Superior Court that is being prosecuted by someone other than the Attorney General cannot proceed without the written order of a judge of the court in which the trial is to proceed, and section 579 of the Criminal Code says the Attorney General may stay a proceeding before the court.
