Definition: An ill-defined disorder of uncertain nosological validity. The category is designed to include a group of children with severe mental retardation (IQ below 35) who show major problems in hyperactivity and in attention, as well as stereotyped behaviours. They tend not to benefit from stimulant drugs (unlike those with an IQ in the normal range) and may exhibit a severe dysphoric reaction (sometimes with psychomotor retardation) when given stimulants. In adolescence, the overactivity tends to be replaced by underactivity (a pattern that is not usual in hyperkinetic children with normal intelligence). This syndrome is also often associated with a variety of developmental delays, either specific or global. The extent to which the behavioural pattern is a function of low IQ or of organic brain damage is not known.

2 (1) For the purpose of the definition “going-private transaction” in section 2 of the Act, “going-private transaction” means an amalgamation or other transaction involving a distributing bank or a distributing bank holding company, other than an acquisition of shares under section 284 of the Act, that results in the interest of a holder of participating securities of the bank or bank holding company being terminated without the consent of the holder and without the substitution of an interest of equivalent value in participating securities of the bank or the bank holding company or of another bank or another bank holding company that succeeds to the business of the bank or the bank holding company, which participating securities have rights and privileges that are equal to or greater than the affected participating securities.

(4) At the time there is no space for further entries in a diving operations logbook for a diving operation, or at the time the diving operation is completed, whichever occurs first, the supervisor who made the last entry in the logbook shall deliver the logbook to the diving contractor who conducted the diving operation, but in the event of an accident in connection with the diving operation, the supervisor on duty at the time of the accident shall deliver the logbook to the operator responsible for the diving operation as soon as possible after the accident.
