La volonté de punir ceux qui rendraient publiques les agressions contre des mineurs tout en occultant le fait que ces enfants étaient victimes est une attitude que j'ai souvent observée en grandissant dans les rangs de l'Église catholique en Nouvelle-Écosse, en oeuvrant auprès d'enfants victimes d'agressions dans l'Arctique et en travaillant comme artiste et enseignant.
The desire to punish those who would bring the abuse of minors to the public view while ignoring the actual victimization of children is a pattern I saw often growing up in the Catholic Church in Nova Scotia, working with abused youth in the Arctic and working as an artist and teacher.
