(15) After the end of the period during which financial assistance has been made available, evaluations carried out in accordance with Article 48(3) of Council Regulation (EC) No 1083/2006 of 11 July 2006 laying down general provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the Cohesion Fund and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1260/1999 might need to inter alia assess whether the reduction of the national co-funding does not lead to a significant departure from the goals initially set.
