Monsieur le Président, je présente une pétition au nom de plus de 2 500 Terre-neuviens et Labradoriens qui demandent au gouvernement du Canada de rétablir le financement destiné à l'enregistrement de musique en direct dans les studios de la CBC/Radio-Canada à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, afin que nous ne soyons pas privés de notre voix régionale et que les gens puissent continuer d'apprécier notre musique, notre culture et notre histoire.
Mr. Speaker, I rise to present a petition on behalf of more than 2,500 Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who are calling on the Government of Canada to reinstate the funding necessary to support live music recording at CBC Newfoundland and Labrador so that our regional voice will not be silenced and our music, culture and history will continue to be heard.

This motion calls for us to add our voice so that Parliament can speak as one, with the inclusion of the artful and appropriate amendment by Senator Di Nino, of which I have no objection, to demonstrate that Canada affirms its opposition, as the resolution says in (g), " to nuclear proliferation and condemns any pursuit by Iran of nuclear weapons capability" .
