Nous souhaitons que tous les mandats confiés soient aussi forts et complets que possible et qu'ils ne soient pas limités au point d'empêcher les rapporteurs d'examiner les questions touchant au racisme, à la xénophobie et autres, et d'en rendre compte à la Conférence.
We are working hard to ensure that as the mandates come up for renewal, including the mandate of what I would call our own Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression, which is a Canadian-led mechanism, that the mandates are as strong and comprehensive as they can be and are not restricted in any way that would prevent them from being able to monitor and report on issues around racism, xenophobia and the other issues to be addressed by the conference that might fall within their mandates.
