Les subventions allouées dans le cadre de la facilité LAIF auront un effet de levier pour mobiliser des ressources d'institutions financières en vue du financement de projets d'investissement dans trois domaines en particulier:

Grâce à cet accord, les instituts de recherche, les universités et les chercheurs en Arménie auront maintenant accès à toutes les possibilités offertes par Horizon 2020 dans différents domaines, de la recherche fondamentale aux projets de démonstration, sur un pied d’égalité avec les chercheurs et les organisations des États membres de l’UE et d’autres pays associés au programme.
Thanks to this agreement, its research institutes, universities and individual researchers will now have access to all opportunities offered by Horizon 2020 in diverse areas, from fundamental science to demonstration projects, on an equal footing with researchers and organisations from EU Member States and other countries associated to the programme.

Les instituts de recherche, les universités et les chercheurs en Géorgie auront maintenant accès à toutes les possibilités offertes par Horizon 2020, qui finance des actions dans différents domaines scientifiques, de la recherche fondamentale aux projets de démonstration.

Nous avons un problème, ici et maintenant. Nous pouvons accuser les Américains, les fonds alternatifs, les banques d’investissement ou qui nous voulons, mais ce que la Commission de M. We can blame the Americans, we can blame hedge funds, we can blame investment bankers, we can blame who we like, but what Mr McCreevy’s Commission might rather spend its time now doing is discussing with the finance ministers of the different countries how the burden will be shared across countries when we find that we have to bail out financial institutions to the tune of hundreds of millions, as is now happening in the USA.

Now, it is laughable that some of the biggest financial institutions in the world – and some in Europe – who are the people who spend so much money on buying-in expertise and telling us in Europe how we should run our economies, can be the ones who are now caught because of their bad investment policy.

Par conséquent, il y a lieu d’accorder à l’agence l’autonomie juridique, financière et administrative, tout en maintenant des liens étroits avec les institutions communautaires et les États membres.
Consequently, the Agency should be granted legal, financial and administrative autonomy while at the same time maintaining close links with the Community institutions and the Member States.
