2. Applications made under Regulation (EC) No 1783/1999 shall remain valid.

Le présent règlement n'affecte ni la poursuite ni la modification, y compris la suppression totale ou partielle, d'une intervention approuvée par la Commission sur la base du règlement (CE) no 1783/1999, ou de tout autre instrument législatif applicable à cette intervention au 31 décembre 2006, et applicable en conséquence à partir de cette date à cette intervention ou aux projets concernés, jusqu'à leur clôture.
1. This Regulation shall not affect either the continuation or modification, including the total or partial cancellation, of assistance approved by the Commission on the basis of Regulation (EC) No 1783/1999 or any other legislation applying to that assistance on 31 December 2006, which shall consequently apply thereafter to that assistance or the projects concerned until their closure.

1. Sans préjudice des dispositions prévues à l'article 22 du présent règlement, le règlement (CE) no 1783/1999 est abrogé avec effet au 1er janvier 2007.
1. Without prejudice to the provisions laid down in Article 22 of this Regulation, Regulation (EC) No 1783/1999 is hereby repealed with effect from 1 January 2007.

Conformément à l'article 21, paragraphe 2, du règlement (CE) n° 1260/1999, les décisions concernant la contribution du Fonds à l'initiative communautaire peuvent étendre le champ d'application des activités éligibles visées à l'article 3 du présent règlement afin de couvrir des actions qui peuvent être financées par les règlements (CE) n° 1783/1999(11), n° 1257/1999(12), et n° 1263/1999(13) de manière à permettre la réalisation de toutes les mesures prévues dans l'initiative.

In accordance with Article 21(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1260/1999, the Decisions on the contribution of the Fund to the Community Initiative may extend the scope of eligible activities referred to in Article 3 of this Regulation to cover measures which can be funded by Regulations (EC) No 1783/1999(11), (EC) No 1257/1999(12) and (EC) No 1263/1999(13) so as to permit the implementation of all the measures provided for in the Initiative.
