Je souhaitais notamment commenter la question d’une taxe sur les transactions financières, que je considère comme une étape positive, même au niveau européen, comme l’indique l’amendement que j’ai approuvé, et ce en dépit de sa difficulté et de sa complexité - comme l’ont souligné toutes les études pertinentes - en termes de collecte et en ce qui concerne son efficacité si elle est appliquée uniquement au niveau européen, et non au niveau international.
I wanted to comment, in particular, on the question of a financial transaction tax which, as stated in the amendment which I endorsed, I view as a positive step, even at – albeit – European level, despite its difficulty and complexity, as highlighted in all the relevant studies, in terms of collecting it and how effective it will be if it is only applied at European and not at international level.
