C'est pourquoi j'estime que, dans l'esprit de la doctrine de l'Union européenne en général et dans l'esprit précédemment adopté par ce Parlement dans le rapport Newens tout particulièrement - nous devrions chercher comment progresser dans notre recherche d'une formule institutionnelle dans le cadre des relations avec ce pays, tout en respectant les droits de l'homme et les libertés fondamentales.
For this reason I think that – in the spirit of the doctrine of the European Union in general and in the spirit previously adopted by this Parliament in the Newens report in particular, we should seek a formula which, within the framework of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, would allow us to progress in order to find an institutional formula in our relations with this country.
