TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

La communication sur la stratégie de l’Union européenne pour la région du Danube mentionne ce qui suit: «supprimer d’ici à 2015 les obstacles à la navigation fluviale afin de permettre le passage des navires de classe VIb durant toute l’année».
The Communication on the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region states the following: ‘Remove existing navigability bottlenecks on the river as to accommodate type VI b vessels all year round by 2015’.

Dans le cadre du rapport au Parlement européen et au Conseil sur le fonctionnement de la présente directive, la Commission devrait déterminer dans quelle mesure le but de la présente directive, à savoir la simplification des formalités administratives auxquelles sont soumis les navires à l’entrée et/ou à la sortie des ports des États membres, devrait être étendue à l’intérieur des terres, plus précisément à la navigation fluviale, afin d’accélérer et de fluidifier le transit du trafic maritime vers l’intérieur des terres et d’apporter une solution durable à la congestion dans les ports et aux environs de ceux-ci.
Within the framework of the report to the European Parliament and the Council on the functioning of this Directive, the Commission should consider how far the purpose of this Directive, namely the simplification of administrative formalities for ships arriving in and/or departing from ports of the Member States, should be extended to the areas inland of those ports, particularly to river transport, with a view to the quicker and smoother movement of maritime traffic inland and a lasting solution to congestion in and around seaports.

(9 bis) La Commission déterminera dans quelle mesure l'objectif de la directive, à savoir la simplification des formalités administratives auxquelles sont soumis les navires à l'entrée et/ou à la sortie des ports de l'UE, doit être étendu à l'arrière-pays, plus précisément à la navigation fluviale, afin d'accélérer et de fluidifier le transit du trafic maritime vers l'arrière-pays et d'apporter une solution durable à la congestion dans les ports et aux environs de ceux-ci.
(9a) The Commission should consider how far the aim of this Directive, namely the simplification of administrative formalities for ships entering and/or leaving EU ports, should be extended to the areas inland of those ports, particularly to river transport, with a view to the quicker and smoother movement of maritime traffic inland and a lasting solution to congestion in and around seaports.

55. Calls on the Commission to draft a comparable strategy for European inland waterway transport and to coordinate it with the present strategy, in order to promote the development of an optimised transport chain linking maritime freight transport and goods transport on inland waterways;

Afin de garantir une navigabilité adéquate, il convient aussi de renforcer les capacités matérielles du Danube et de ses affluents, de supprimer les entraves actuelles, en s’appuyant sur la mise en œuvre du programme NAIADES, sur le respect de la législation en matière d’environnement et sur la «déclaration conjointe sur la navigation fluviale et la viabilité de l’environnement dans le bassin versant du Danube».
The physical capacity of the Danube and its tributaries should be improved, and existing bottlenecks removed, to ensure the proper level of navigability, implementing the NAIADES programme and respecting environmental legislation, and based on the "Joint Statement on Inland Navigation and Environmental Sustainability in the Danube River Basin".

La proposition de directive vise à harmoniser les services de navigation fluviale afin d'assurer la compatibilité et l'interopérabilité au niveau européen et de promouvoir les transports transfrontaliers par voie navigable.
This proposed Directive is aimed at harmonising inland river navigation services in order to ensure compatibility and interoperability at European level and to promote cross-border inland waterway transport in Europe.

(7 bis) Afin d'assurer l'introduction des SIF dans toute l'Europe, il conviendrait que les États membres, en collaboration avec la Commission, aident le secteur de la navigation fluviale à satisfaire aux exigences énoncées dans la directive et prennent toutes les mesures nécessaires pour que le secteur tire un profit maximal des SIF.
(7a) In order to ensure the introduction of RIS throughout Europe, the Member States should, in cooperation with the Commission, assist the inland waterway sector in meeting the requirements laid down in this Directive and take all necessary measures to enable the sector to derive the greatest possible benefit from RIS.

La présente directive établit le cadre du déploiement et de l'utilisation de services d'information fluviale (SIF) harmonisés dans la Communauté afin de soutenir le développement des transports par voie navigable dans le but d'en renforcer la sécurité, l'efficacité et le respect de l'environnement, et de faciliter les interfaces avec d'autres modes de transport.
1. This Directive establishes a framework for the deployment and use of harmonised river information services (RIS) in the Community in order to support inland waterway transport with a view to enhancing safety, efficiency and environmental friendliness and to facilitating interfaces with other transport modes.

Cette directive établit un cadre à l'échelle de l'Union européenne (UE) pour la mise en œuvre et l'utilisation de services d'information fluviale (SIF) harmonisés, afin d'améliorer la sécurité et l'efficacité de la navigation intérieure ainsi que le respect de l'environnement, mais aussi d'assurer la compatibilité et l'interopérabilité avec d'autres modes de transport.
This directive establishes a European Union (EU) framework for the implementation and use of harmonised river information services (RIS) in order to enhance the safety, efficiency and environmental friendliness of inland waterway transport as well as to ensure compatibility and interoperability with other modes of transport.
