Le Centre International d'Agriculture Tropical (CIAT) situe en Colombie, le Centre International de la Papa (CIP) au Perou, L'Institute of Crops Research for Semi-Arid Tropic (ICRISAT) en Inde, l'International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) aux Philippines et l'International Service for National Agriculture (ISNAR) a La Haye.

The five research agencies concerned are : the International Centre for Tropical Culture (CIAT) based in Colombia, the International Potato Centre (CIP) in Peru, the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) in India, the International rice Research Institute (IRRI) in the Philippines and the International Service for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR) situated in the Netherlands.

Pendant son mandat, il a fondé et présidé le Alternative Crops Technology Interaction Network, qui est devenu le nouveau National Non-Food Crops Centre, à York.
During this time, he was the founder and chairman of the Alternative Crops Technology Interaction Network, which has now been merged into the new National Non-Food Crops Centre in York.

Il concerne 5 centres de recherches : 1.- le CIAT (centro Internacional d'Agricultura Tropical -Cali, Colombie); 2.- Le CIP (Centro Internacional de la Papa - Lima, Pérou); 3.- L'ICRISAT (Institute of Crops Research for the Semi-Arid Tropics - Hyderabad, Inde); ./.- 4 - 4.- L'IRRI (International Rice Research Institute, Manila, Philippines); 5.- L'ISNAR (International Service for National Agriculture Research, La Haye, Pays-Bas).
