Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri qui pourrait être condamné à mort s'il est déclaré coupable; invite les autorités américaines à exclure la possibilité de condamner Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri à la peine de mort et réitère son opposition de longue date à la peine de mort dans tous les cas et en toutes circonstances; fait observer que l'affaire de M. al-Nashiri est pendante devant la Cour européenne des droits de l'homme depuis le 6 mai 2011; invite les autorités de tout pays dans lequel M. al-Nashiri a été détenu à faire tout ce qui est en leur pouvoir pour garantir que M. al-Nashiri ne soit pas condamné à la peine de mort; prie instamment la HR/VP d'évoquer avec les États-Unis en priorité le cas de M. al-Nashiri, conformément aux orientations de l'Union européenne concernant la peine de mort;

Is particularly concerned by the procedure conducted by a US military commission in respect of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, who could be sentenced to death if convicted; calls on the US authorities to rule out the possibility of imposing the death penalty on Mr al-Nashiri and reiterates its long-standing opposition to the death penalty in all cases and under all circumstances; notes that Mr al-Nashiri's case has been before the European Court of Human Rights since 6 May 2011; calls on the authorities of any country in which Mr al-Nashiri was held to use all available means to ensure that he is not subjected to the death penalty; urges the VP/HR to raise the case of Mr al-Nashiri with the US as a matter of priority, in application of the EU Guidelines on the Death Penalty;
