J’ai la ferme conviction que si nous menions une enquête auprès des citoyens européens au sujet du rôle, des pouvoirs et des activités du Médiateur européen, nous nous apercevrions malheureusement que celui-ci est perçu comme quelqu’un d’inaccessible et dans bien des cas, les gens ne sauraient même pas qu’il existe.
I am quite sure that if we conducted a survey of European citizens regarding the role of the European Ombudsman and his powers and activities, we would unfortunately find that he is perceived as someone far away and, in many cases, people will not even know that he exists.
