I shall explain (2140) I would like to replace this with my motion: That Bill C-65 in clause 54 be amended by replacing lines 22 to 25 on page 14 with the following: (c) one from a municipality in Ontario, other than the city of Ottawa, wholly or partly within the national capital region (d) one from a municipality in Quebec, other than the city of Hull, wholly or partly within the national capital region. My explanation for this is it has been the practice to have representation from local municipalities around the capital city of Ottawa.

J'apprécie beaucoup l'appui que j'ai eu pour cet amendement de la part du ministre responsable du Conseil privé et des Affaires intergouvernementales ainsi que du gouvernement.
