Comme le suggérait alors le rapporteur, peut-être la solution consiste-t-elle à créer à l'avenir une Agence d'inspection communautaire, organisme qui, sans conteste, interviendrait d'une manière beaucoup plus efficace que peuvent le faire actuellement l'ensemble des organismes nationaux d'inspection et la modeste infrastructure véritablement communautaire. Le coût supporté par les contribuables serait alors beaucoup moins élevé que le montant des lignes budgétaires actuelles relatives à l'inspection.
Perhaps (as suggested by the author of that resolution) resolving the issue will involve the establishment of a Community Inspection Agency - a body which would undoubtedly reach a much higher degree of efficiency than is currently achieved by the various national inspection bodies and the limited amount of genuinely Community apparatus, and which would cost the tax payer much less than is currently budgeted for such tasks.
