Leon Benoit (Lakeland, Alliance canadienne): Monsieur le Président, malgré les propos que tient le ministre, nous avons eu droit encore cet été à toute une série de scandales : un marché de 1,4 milliard de dollars à Royal LePage si mal ficelé qu'il a dû faire l'objet d'un autre appel d'offres; Allan McGuire à qui ont été émis des chèques totalisant 250 000 $ sans qu'aucune vérification n'ait lieu; le ministère menant délibérément une société canadienne à la faillite; et maintenant le Parti libéral qui fait lui-même l'objet d'une enquête.
Mr. Leon Benoit (Lakeland, Canadian Alliance): Mr. Speaker, the fact is that in spite of what the minister says we saw another summer of scandals: a $1.4 billion Royal LePage contract, so bad it had to be re-tendered; Allan McGuire writing himself $250,000 worth of cheques, never audited; the department purposely bankrupting a Canadian company; and now the Liberal Party is under investigation.
