J'ai finalement appuyé le projet de loi, parce que j'ai accepté l'argument selon lequel, si le projet de loi n'était pas adopté dès ce moment-là, il retournerait dans la marmite qu'est la Chambre des communes et y mijoterait tellement longtemps que nous risquions fort de perdre le pays parce que nous n'aurions pas ce projet de loi et que nous serions à blâmer.
I ultimately supported that bill because I bought the argument that, if the bill were not passed just then, it would go back into the cauldron that is the House of Commons and it would bubble around there for such a long time that we could very well lose the country because we did not have that bill and it would be our fault.
