Recognises that the management of migration flows must go hand in hand with policies to promote successful integration of legal migrants into their and partnership with the third countries of origin, transit, or otherwise involved in the phenomenon, taking account of differences between types of migration flow; recommends that the Commission and the Council give greater attention, when laying down guidelines for the Member States, to the integration of female immigrants and their children, and in particular those who are not in employment; also considers that it is necessary to examine how cooperation with countries of origin can help to rationalise or structure immigration;
