Le programme START financé par l’UE (9,9 millions d’euros), mis en œuvre par l’OIM, a soutenu l’évacuation et le rapatriement de 1 200 migrants bloqués en Libye (environ 4 000 cas supplémentaires ont été identifiés par l’OIM) et de 417 migrants qui ont été sauvés en mer dans les eaux tunisiennes, et a fourni une assistance directe à 7 429 familles déplacées à l’intérieur du pays et à 10 506 migrants dans toute la Libye (fourniture de produits non alimentaires, de kits d’hygiène et de services de santé). La plupart de ces activités sont désormais poursuivies dans le cadre du projet SaharaMed, mis en œuvre par le ministère italien de l’intérieur en collaboration avec l’OIM (8,3 millions d’euros).
The EU funded programme START (€9.9 million), implemented by IOM (International Organization for Migration), has supported the evacuation and repatriation of 1200 stranded migrants out of Libya (around 4,000 additional cases have been identified by IOM) and 417 migrants who were rescued at sea in Tunisian waters, and it has provided 7429 internally displaced families and 10,506 migrants across Libya with direct assistance (provision of non-food items, hygiene kits and health services).Most of these activities are now continued under the SaharaMed project, implemented by the Italian Ministry of Interior in collaboration with IOM (€8,3 million).
