Par la proposition à l'examen, la Commission entend apporter à l'actuelle décision 90/424/CEE du Conseil les modifications nécessaires pour que la contribution financière de la Communauté aux mesures vétérinaires puisse s'appliquer non seulement aux animaux terrestres mais aussi aux animaux d'aquaculture.
With this proposal, the Commission is seeking to make the necessary amendments to the current Council Decision 90/424/EEC so that EU financial support will be granted for veterinary measures affecting aquaculture animals as well as terrestrial animals.

D. Dans le cas d’exploitations comprenant plusieurs unités de production distinctes, l’autorité vétérinaire compétente peut déroger à ces mesures en ce qui concerne les unités de production saines d’une exploitation infectée, pour autant que le vétérinaire habilité ait confirmé que la structure et l’importance de ces unités de production ainsi que les opérations qui y sont effectuées sont telles que ces unités de production sont, sur le plan de l’hébergement, de l’entretien et de l’alimentation, complètement distinctes, de manière que la maladie concernée ne puisse se propager d’une unité de production à l’autre.
D. In the case of holdings which consist of two or more separate production units, the competent veterinary authority may derogate from these measures as regards healthy production units on a holding which is infected provided that the authorised veterinarian has confirmed that the structure and size of these production units and the operations carried out there are such that the production units provide completely separate facilities for housing, keeping and feeding, so that the disease in question cannot spread from one production unit to another.
