Finally, please allow me to thank all those fellow Members who are present and those who will participate in the debate, but who are unable to be here due to the eruption of the volcano, who have done a lot to help prepare this proposal for a decision, and thanks to whom we were able to present this House with a joint proposal for a text that is the fruit of compromise and that is supported not only by the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats) but also the Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance, the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament, the Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe and the European Conservatives and Reformists.

Madame la Présidente, pour finir, je souhaiterais remercier M. Salafranca, qui a négocié ce texte au nom du groupe Parti populaire européen (Démocrates-Chrétiens), M Weber, du groupe Alliance des démocrates et des libéraux pour l’Europe, M. Romeva i Rueda, au nom du groupe Verts/ Alliance libre européenne, M. Kožušník des Conservateurs et Réformistes européens, et d’autres collègues qui ont pris part à cette tâche, difficile et compliquée, mais qui j’espère portera ses fruits demain.
Madam President, finally I would like to thank Mr Salafranca, who negotiated this text on behalf of the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats), Mrs Weber, from the Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, Mr Romeva i Rueda, on behalf of the Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance, Mr Kožušník from the European Conservatives and Reformists, and other fellow Members who have taken part in this task, which has been difficult and complicated, but which I hope will be successful tomorrow.

Je pense que les collègues qui en feront partie ne devront pas perdre de vue qu’il s’agit d’un pays désertique, riche en dépôts de phosphate, et devront envisager chaque aspect du problème avec les représentants du Front Polisario, du gouvernement marocain et des deux autres pays frontaliers, en particulier l’Algérie.
I feel that those Members taking part should not lose sight of the fact that this is a desert land, which is rich in phosphate deposits, and should broach every aspect of the problem with representatives of the Polisario Front, the Moroccan Government, and the two other countries sharing its borders, especially Algeria.
