Dans la mesure où la réalisation des objectifs fixés dans le présent règlement l'exige et sans préjudice des compétences respectives des États membres, des institutions de l'Union et du Service européen pour l'action extérieure, l'Agence peut renforcer la coordination avec les organisations internationales sur la base des accords conclus et nouer des contacts et conclure des arrangements administratifs avec des autorités de contrôle, des organisations internationales et les administrations de pays tiers compétentes dans les matières couvertes par les activités de l'Agence, afin de suivre l'évolution des sciences et des techniques et d'assurer la promotion de la législation et des normes de l'Union en matière ferroviaire.
1. In so far as is necessary in order to achieve the objectives set out in this Regulation, and without prejudice to the respective competences of the Member States, the institutions of the Union and the European External Action Service, the Agency may strengthen coordination with international organisations on the basis of concluded agreements and develop contacts and enter into administrative arrangements with supervisory authorities, international organisations and the administrations of third countries competent in matters covered by Agency activities in order to keep up with scientific and technical developments and to ensure promotion of the Union railways legislation and standards.
