Mr. Bob Kilger: Mr. Speaker, just for my clarification, if we have not voted on Vote 1 under Public Works and Government Services, I would then ask the House if we could have unanimous consent to propose that members who voted on the previous motion be recorded as having voted on the motion now before the House, with Liberal members voting yea, and then I will follow afterward with an application on the other motions.

Pursuant to rule 146 of the Rules of Procedure, I have received a motion from 39 individual Members and from the Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance calling for Mr Hughes Martin’s recommendation on behalf of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Human Rights, Common Security and Defence Policy concerning the Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreement between the European Community and its Member States and the Arab Republic of Egypt to be deferred until the January 2002 part-session whilst retaining oral questions to the Council and to the Commission on this matter on the order of business for today.

Il faudra également trouver un système (si ce n'est maintenant, d'ici la prochaine législature) garantissant la déduction des revenus perçus par les députés au Parlement européen en provenance de charges publiques autres que provenant de leur appartenance au Parlement européen.
A system will also have to be found (if not now, by the next parliamentary term) to ensure appropriate deduction of income received by MEPs from public office other than that stemming from their membership of the European Parliament.

Je tiens à féliciter les intervenants pour le niveau élevé du débat jusqu'à maintenant, particulièrement le député d'en face qui a parlé de la beauté du Québec et de l'Ontario, du fait que les gens passent de l'une à l'autre de ces deux provinces et de l'importance du tourisme.
I commend the level of debate that has taken place up to this point, especially by the hon. member opposite when he said how beautiful the provinces of Quebec and Ontario were, how people move back and forth between them, and the significance of tourism to them.
