3. La détermination provisoire de la législation applicable visée au paragraphe 2 devient définitive dans les deux mois suivant sa notification à l’institution désignée par les autorités compétentes des États membres concernés, conformément au paragraphe 2, sauf si la législation a déjà fait l’objet d’une détermination définitive en application du paragraphe 4, ou si au moins une des institutions concernées informe l’institution désignée par l’autorité compétente de l’État membre de résidence, à l’expiration de cette période de deux mois, qu’elle ne peut encore accepter la détermination ou qu’elle a un avis différent à cet égard.
3. The provisional determination of the applicable legislation, as provided for in paragraph 2, shall become definitive within two months of the institutions designated by the competent authorities of the Member States concerned being informed of it, in accordance with paragraph 2, unless the legislation has already been definitively determined on the basis of paragraph 4, or at least one of the institutions concerned informs the institution designated by the competent authority of the Member State of residence by the end of this two-month period that it cannot yet accept the determination or that it takes a different view on this.

7. 7. Any disclosure statement made in relation to an optional product or service that is provided on an ongoing basis, other than one provided in relation to a credit agreement, must specify that the person may cancel the product or service by notifying the institution that it is to be cancelled, that the cancellation will be effective as of the last day of the billing cycle or 30 days after the notification is received, whichever is earlier, and that on receipt of the notice, the institution must, without delay, refund or credit the person with the amount of any charges paid by the person for any part of the product or service that is unused as of the day the cancellation takes effect, to be calculated in accordance with the formula set out in section 9.

4.
