La Commission européenne sollicite l'avis des citoyens sur la directive intitulée l'«infrastructure d'information géographique dans la Communauté européenne».
The European Commission is asking for opinions about the 'Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community' Directive.

La directive 2007/2/CE établissant une infrastructure d'information géographique dans la Communauté européenne (INSPIRE) vise à faciliter l'accès et l'utilisation de données géographiques liées à l'environnement.
Directive 2007/2/EC, establishing an infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE), aims to facilitate the access and use of spatial data related to the environment.

En vertu de la législation, les États membres devaient mettre en vigueur les dispositions législatives, réglementaires et administratives nécessaires pour se conformer à la directive sur l'infrastructure d'information géographique avant le 15 mai 2009.
Under the legislation, Member States had to bring into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with the Directive on spatial infrastructure before 15 May 2009.

The infrastructures for spatial information in the Member States should be designed to ensure that spatial data are stored, made available and maintained at the most appropriate level; that it is possible to combine spatial data from different sources across the Community in a consistent way and share them between several users and applications; that it is possible for spatial data collected at one level of public authority to be shared between other public authorities; that spatial data are made available under conditions which do not unduly restrict their extensive use; that it is easy to discover available spatial data, to evaluate their suitability for the purpose and to know the conditions applicable to their use.

«infrastructure d'information géographique», des métadonnées, des séries de données géographiques et des services de données géographiques; des services et des technologies en réseau; des accords sur le partage, l'accès et l'utilisation; et des mécanismes, des processus et des procédures de coordination et de suivi établis, exploités ou mis à disposition conformément à la présente directive;
‘infrastructure for spatial information’ means metadata, spatial data sets and spatial data services; network services and technologies; agreements on sharing, access and use; and coordination and monitoring mechanisms, processes and procedures, established, operated or made available in accordance with this Directive;

5. Les représentants des États membres aux niveaux national, régional et local, ainsi que les autres personnes physiques ou morales pour lesquelles les données géographiques concernées présentent un intérêt du fait de leur rôle dans l'infrastructure d'information géographique, y compris les utilisateurs, les producteurs, les fournisseurs de services à valeur ajoutée ou tout organisme de coordination, ont la possibilité de participer aux discussions préparatoires sur la teneur des règles de mise en œuvre visées au paragraphe 1 avant leur examen par le comité visé à l'article 22, paragraphe 1.
5. Representatives of Member States at national, regional and local level as well as other natural or legal persons with an interest in the spatial data concerned by virtue of their role in the infrastructure for spatial information, including users, producers, added value service providers or any coordinating body shall be given the opportunity to participate in preparatory discussions on the content of the implementing rules referred to in paragraph 1, prior to consideration by the Committee referred to in Article 22(1).

La mise en œuvre efficace des infrastructures d'information géographique passe par un travail de coordination de la part de tous ceux pour qui la mise en place de telles infrastructures présente un intérêt, que ce soit du fait de leur contribution à celles-ci ou de leur rôle d'utilisateurs.
The effective implementation of infrastructures for spatial information requires coordination by all those with an interest in the establishment of such infrastructures, whether as contributors or users.
