Compte tenu de la situation politique de la Birmanie/Myanmar et de la Biélorussie, il y a lieu de maintenir le retrait temporaire du bénéfice de toutes les préférences tarifaires applicables aux importations de produits originaires de la Birmanie/Myanmar ou de la Biélorussie.
Due to the political situation in Burma/Myanmar and in Belarus, the temporary withdrawal of all tariff preferences in respect of imports of products originating in Burma/Myanmar or Belarus should be maintained.

L'Union européenne a également instauré un dialogue important sur les droits de l'homme avec la Chine (et espère faire de même avec la Corée du Nord). Commends the Special Rapporteurs on the situation of human rights in the DPRK and on the situation of human rights in Burma/Myanmar for their continued efforts in the conduct of their mandates, and calls for the extension thereof; welcomes the preliminary positive changes in Burma/Myanmar's attitude towards greater cooperation with the Special Procedures and reiterates its call for the release all remaining prisoners of conscience as well as for tangible steps to be taken on the fight against impunity in Burma, notably on the crimes against humanity committed in the ethnic areas;

31. Welcomes the EU's endeavours in the UN General Assembly's Third Committee (on Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs) on a large number of resolutions, in particular on the call for a moratorium on the use of the death penalty, which received more supporting countries, on the rights of the child, on religious intolerance and on the human rights situations in Burma/Myanmar and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK);

Nos deux principales initiatives – le renouvellement des mandats des rapporteurs spéciaux sur les droits de l’homme en Birmanie/Myanmar et en Corée du Nord – ont été acceptées, ainsi que toutes les initiatives individuelles des États membres de l’Union européenne.
Our two main initiatives – renewal of the mandates of the special rapporteurs on human rights in Burma/Myanmar and North Korea – were accepted. All the initiatives of the individual European Union Member States were also accepted.
