Dans le cadre des nouvelles orientations communautaires pour le développement des réseaux transeuropéens de transport (RTE-T), trois projets prioritaires ( l'axe autoroutier Igoumenitsa/Patras-Athènes-Sofia-Budapest, l'axe fluvial Rhin/Meuse-Main-Danube et l'axe ferroviaire Athènes-Sofia-Budapest-Vienne-Prague-Nuremberg/Dresde ) concernent des axes passant par la Bulgarie et la Roumanie, et un projet concerne la Croatie ( l'axe ferroviaire Lyon-Trieste-Diva č a/Koper-Divača-Ljubljana-Budapest-frontière ukrainienne ).
Under the new Community guidelines for the development of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T), three of the network’s priority projects ( motorway axis Igoumenitsa/Patra-Athina-Sofia-Budapest , inland waterway axis Rhine/Meuse-Main-Danube and railway axis Athina-Sofia-Budapest-Wien-Praha-Nürnberg/Dresden ) concern axes which include Bulgaria and Romania, and one which includes Croatia ( railway axis Lyon-Trieste-Divaca/Koper-Divaca-Ljubljana-Budapest-Ukranian border ).

10. invite la Commission à mettre à profit les enseignements tirés de la stratégie pour la mer Baltique d'un point de vue opérationnel; demande par conséquent que le document qui sera élaboré soit assorti d'un plan d'action; est d'avis que le plan d'action devrait comporter notamment les aspects suivants: un réaménagement du Danube, dans le respect de l'environnement, afin d'en faire une voie navigable plus performante, les liaisons avec la région, fortement développée, du Rhin via l'axe Rhin-Main-Danube, l'intégration des différents modes de transport le long du Danube, le développement des installations hydroélectriques le long du Danube dans le respect de l'environnement, la préservation et l'amélioration de la qualité des eaux du Danube conformément à la directive-cadre sur l'eau, des normes strictes de sécurité pour les navires, le développement d'un tourisme qui préserve l'environnement et des améliorations en matière d'éducation, de recherche et de cohésion sociale;
10. Calls on the Commission to draw on the operational experience gained with the Baltic Sea Strategy; asks, accordingly, for an action plan to complement the document; is of the opinion that that action plan should include the following elements: environment-friendly upgrading of the Danube to a more efficient waterway, interconnection with the highly developed Rhine region via the Rhine-Main-Danube Axis, intermodality along the Danube, environment-friendly upgrading of hydroelectric facilities along the Danube, preservation and improvement of Danube water quality in accordance with the Water Framework Directive, stringent vessel safety requirements, development of environment-friendly tourism and improvements in the fields of education, research and social cohesion;

11. demande par conséquent à la Commission et aux États membres de coopérer pour améliorer l'accès à l'axe Rhin-Main-Danube, qui relie la mer du Nord, via le port de Rotterdam, à la Mer noire, via le port de Constanta, et la navigabilité de cet axe, en développant et en modernisant l'ensemble des infrastructures (ports, aéroports, route et rail) et en créant un système de transport multimodal tout au long du canal;
11. Calls therefore on the Commission and the Member States to cooperate in developing and enhancing the accessibility and navigability of the Rhine-Main-Danube Axis, which links the North Sea, via the Port of Rotterdam, to the Black Sea, via the Port of Constanta, by extending and modernising all infrastructure (ports, airports, road and rail) and creating a multi-modal transport system all along the canal;

Les principaux axes du réseau sont le Rhin, le Main et le Danube, ce dernier constituant l’une des parties les plus importantes du réseau de l’UE-10 et de l’UE-2.
The main axes in the network are the Rhine, Main and the Danube. The Danube River forms one of the most important parts of the network in the EU10 and EU2.
