Calls, therefore, on the Government to address these issues systematically by amending legislation and by ensuring its proper implementation at all levels of government, including the municipalities; points too, in this context, to the recommendations adopted by the Venice Commission in spring 2010 concerning the legal personality of religious communities and the ecclesiastical title ‘Ecumenical’ of the Orthodox Patriarchate; welcomes the recent decision by the ‘Foundations Assembly’ to transfer the Büyükada Greek Orphanage for Boys to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, in accordance with the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights, and the granting of Turkish citizenship to several Greek Orthodox clergy in order to facilitate the Patriarchate and the Holy Synod; welcomes the religious ceremony in the Sümela Monastery Museum in Trabzon and the ceremony in the church on Akdamar Island in the province of Van; finds the Turkish Supreme Court decision against Mor Gabriel Monastery, concerning a land dispute with villages and the Turkish Treasury, to be regrettable; restates its expectation that the Government’s announcements about the reopening of the Halki Greek Orthodox seminary will soon be followed by action and by measures providing for the unhindered training of Christian communities’ clergy; urges the Government to pay special attention to educational materials in schools, which should reflect the religious plurality of Turkish society, and to the need for unbiaised learning materials;

1. The peer evaluation with regard to accreditation and licensing of environmental verifiers under this Regulation to be organised by the Forum of Accreditation and Licensing Bodies, shall be carried out on a regular basis, at least every four years, and shall include an assessment of the rules and procedures set out in Articles 28 and 29.

Urges the Council to update the guidelines on the death penalty, in order to support all activities aimed at full implementation of the General Assembly resolution, which inter alia calls upon all States that still maintain the death penalty to respect international standards that provide safeguards guaranteeing the protection of the rights of those facing the death penalty, in particular the minimum standards set out in the annex to Economic and Social Council Resolution 1984/50 of 25 May 1984; points out that the resolution provides the Secretary-General with information relating to the use of capital punishment and observance of the safeguards guaranteeing protection of the rights of those facing the death penalty and seeks to progressively restrict the use of the death penalty and reduce the number of offences for which it may be imposed; further points out that the resolution ends by calling on all United Nations Member States to establish a moratorium on executions with a view to abolishing the death penalty;

6. Rappelant que le FNUF est chargé, lors de sa cinquième session qui se tiendra en mai 2005 (FNUF 5), d'évaluer l'efficacité de l'AIF actuellement en vigueur et d'examiner, en vue de formuler des recommandations au Conseil économique et social et, par le truchement de celui-ci, à l'Assemblée générale des Nations unies, les paramètres d’un mandat en vue de la formulation d’un cadre juridique concernant tous les types de forêts;
6. Recalling that the UNFF is mandated to review, at its fifth session in May 2005 (UNFF 5), the effectiveness of the current IAF and to consider, with a view to recommending to the Economic and Social Council and through it to the General Assembly of the United Nations, the parameters of a mandate for developing a legal framework for all types of forests;

11. Réitérant ses conclusions d'avril 2000, le Conseil attache beaucoup d'importance à la décision du Conseil économique et social qui prévoit que le FNUF examine d'ici cinq ans les paramètres d'un mandat en vue de la formulation d'un cadre juridique concernant tous les types de forêt, en vue de les recommander au Conseil économique et social et, par son intermédiaire, à l'Assemblée générale.
11. Reaffirming its April 2000 Conclusions, the Council attaches great importance to ECOSOC's decision that within five years the UNFF will consider with a view to recommending to the ECOSOC and through it to the General Assembly the parameters of a mandate for developing a legal framework on all types of forests.
