The entry into force of the SAA will also increase the confidence of investors, domestic and international in the country. It will allow both Bosnian companies and EU companies to access their respective markets. This is conducive to enhanced business opportunities for both the EU and the BiH based companies and would stimulate economic growth and employment.

L’ASA devrait aussi promouvoir les relations économiques et commerciales en vue d’établir, au terme d’une période transitoire, un cadre de libre-échange compatible avec l’OMC.
The SAA should also promote economic and trade relations, with the perspective of establishing WTO-compatible free trade after a transitional period.

6. rappelle à la Serbie que la signature de l'ASA est subordonnée à une coopération sans réserve avec le TPIY et que ceci devrait conduire à l'arrestation et au transfert de toutes les personnes qui restent inculpées, tout en notant que les récentes arrestations prouvent que les autorités serbes sont en mesure de trouver et d'appréhender les criminels de guerre présumés; souligne qu'une coopération sans réserve avec le TPIY est non seulement une obligation internationale, mais aussi un moyen essentiel d'arriver à une réconciliation durable dans la région; à cette fin, appelle le Parlement serbe à honorer ses engagements qui découlent de l'arrêt précité de la CIJ et à adopter une déclaration qui dénonce le génocide commis à Srebrenica;
6. Reminds Serbia that signature of the SAA is conditional upon full cooperation with the ICTY, and that this should lead to the arrest and transfer of all remaining indictees, whilst noting that the recent arrests prove that the Serbian authorities are able to find and apprehend indicted war criminals; stresses that full cooperation with the ICTY is not only an international obligation but also a key step towards achieving lasting reconciliation in the region; to this end, calls on the Serbian parliament to fulfil its commitments arising from the above-mentioned ICJ judgment and to adopt a declaration denouncing the genocide in Srebrenica;

The Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) which Croatia signed in 2001 should play an important role in trade matters and its structures will serve as an interface for monitoring Croatia's progress on alignment with the acquis.
