- (ES) Monsieur le Président, Madame la Commissaire, je dois féliciter Mme Hermange pour ce rapport d'initiative sur l’illettrisme, vu que c’est un problème auquel nous ne prêtons pas attention, en temps normal, parce que nous croyons avoir atteint l’alphabétisation totale, après que la majorité des États membres de l'Union européenne a accompli un effort énorme, ces dernières années, pour atteindre cet objectif et que nous croyions l’avoir atteint.
– (ES) Mr President, Commissioner, I must congratulate Mrs Hermange on her initiative on this report on illiteracy, since it is a problem which we do not normally pay much attention to, because we think we have achieved total literacy, since the majority of Member States of the European Union have made enormous efforts over recent years to achieve this objective and we thought we had done so.
