– I welcome the motion for a resolution voted on today on international adoption.

– (EL) J’ai voté en faveur de la résolution commune sur l’adoption internationale dans l’Union européenne, qui vise à améliorer le système d’adoption entre les États membres et à établir des garanties afin de veiller à ce que l’adoption soit effectuée dans l’intérêt de l’enfant, dans le respect total de ses droits fondamentaux.
– (EL) I voted today in favour of the joint resolution on international adoption in the EU, the aim of which is to improve the adoption system between Member States and establish guarantees to ensure that adoption is carried out in the interests of the child, with absolute respect for its fundamental rights.

– (IT) J’ai voté en faveur de la résolution commune sur l’adoption internationale car je suis convaincue qu’une coordination au niveau européen des stratégies et des instruments en matière d’adoption permettrait non seulement d’améliorer la procédure en tant que telle, mais aussi de mieux protéger les enfants orphelins et abandonnés et de garantir le respect de leur droit d’avoir une famille.
– (IT) I voted in favour of the joint resolution on international adoption, because I strongly believe that European coordination of adoption strategies and tools would not only bring about an improvement in the procedure as such, but would also ensure greater protection for orphans and abandoned children and their right to have a family.
