Nous devons en revanche légèrement rectifier notre stratégie pour les atteindre, c'est-à-dire affiner et aiguiser notre schéma de négociation dans un certain nombre de domaines, tenir compte de l'évolution des positions au cours des tout derniers mois et à Cancún même, et prendre en considération les événements survenus au sein de l'UE (notamment le bon déroulement de la réforme à mi-parcours de la PAC). Nous devrions alors être en mesure de continuer à jouer pleinement notre rôle constructif dans l'éventuelle reprise des négociations.
What has appeared in need of some review is our strategy to achieve those objectives: the need to refine and sharpen our negotiating approach in a number of areas; take account of the manner in which discussions have developed over the past few months or at Cancun itself; and take account of developments within the EU itself (notably the successful mid-term review of the CAP). On this basis, we should be able to continue to play a full and constructive role in any re-launch of negotiations.
