Underlines the role of the parliament as a key democratic institution and calls therefore for a strengthening of its oversight role and for ensuring a more institutionalised consultation process on draft legislation; welcomes in this regard the adoption on 5 March 2015 of the reviewed law ‘On Parliament’s role in the European integration process of Albania’ as well as the consensual parliamentary resolution of 24 December 2014 in which it was agreed that the opposition would return to parliamentary work while the governing majority would seek consensus with the opposition on important reforms, that the decisions of the Constitutional Court (CC) would be respected and the issue of people with criminal records holding or running for public office addressed; calls for its proper and timely implementation in a constructive manner; calls on all political parties to improve democratic consensus-building, which is the key to advancing in the accession process; considers it important that Albania’s civil society, media and citizens hold their leaders accountable for specific policy outcomes;

(m) Commends Indonesia for the role played by it in steering the process of the Bali Forum for Human Rights at regional level; is concerned, however, by the inconsistency of Law 8/1985 and the new Law on Mass Organisations 17/2013 (repealing the former Law on Associations 8/1985) on civil organisations (the “Ormas Bill”), which, despite the stated purpose of ensuring tolerance and preventing violence against society groups, if not revised to conform with international human rights standards, risks imposing unnecessary and sometimes onerous administrative, legal and financial restrictions on the activities of non-governmental organisations, thereby significantly undermining the capacities of civil society to work in Indonesia and restricting freedom of association, freedom of expression, freedom of assembly and freedom of thought, conscience and religion; believes in this regard that the annual EU-Indonesia Human Rights dialogue is the appropriate platform to address such concerns;

8. fait part de ses préoccupations au sujet de la loi n° 107 du 24 novembre 2013 sur l'organisation du droit aux rassemblements, défilés et manifestations publics pacifiques, laquelle restreint arbitrairement le droit de réunion pacifique et permet la répression, ainsi que de sa mise en œuvre, y compris des récentes arrestations opérées en vertu de ladite loi; demande que soit révisée cette loi dans le respect des normes internationales et des obligations internationales de l'Égypte, dans le cadre d'un dialogue avec la société civile, et que soient libérées toutes les personnes arrêtées, détenues et déclarées coupables pour avoir exercé leurs droits légitimes de liberté de réunion, de manifestation ou de liberté d'expression ou d'association;
8. Expresses its concern over Law 107 on the Right to Public Meetings, Processions and Peaceful Demonstrations of 24 November 2013, which places arbitrary limitations on the right of peaceful assembly and allows repression, as well as its implementation, including recent arrests under it; calls for the revision of this law in line with international standards and Egypt’s international obligations, through dialogue with civil society, and for the release of all those who have been arrested, detained and convicted solely for exercising their legitimate rights of freedom of assembly, protest, or freedom of association or expression;
