L'objectif final est d'avoir une constitution européenne, une loi fondamentale d'une Union qui ne peut se limiter à avoir seulement une monnaie unique, mais qui doit être une réalité politique, avec une politique étrangère et de défense vraiment commune, une interlocutrice égale aux États-Unis qui sache affronter le grand défi de la mondialisation qui verra apparaître au cours des années qui viennent d'autres acteurs, notamment les pays asiatiques, à commencer par la Chine.
The final objective is to establish a European Constitution, a fundamental law for a Union, which cannot stop at simply having a single currency but must become a political entity with genuinely common foreign and defence policies, an interlocutor on a par with the United States which will be able to take up the great challenge of globalisation in which the countries of the continent of Asia are also set to become protagonists in the coming years, starting with China.
