The common link between all of them is that they face similar challenges: operating either within or into the northern and remote regions of Canada; operating into remote airfields with limited weather, navigation aids, fuel and other infrastructure; having to deal with climatic extremes; and having to deal with processes and regulations designed for major international carriers and not necessarily appropriate for their operating environment.
