The European Commission has adopted a Communication prepared by President Jacques Santer, Commissioners Erkki Liikanen and Ritt Bjerregaard concerning a Green Housekeeping Action Plan 1997-2000 for the Commission. The Plan aims at integrating environmental considerations into the organisation of the Commission's administration as well as the arrangements it concludes with its supplies of goods and services, and the behaviour of its staff.
