L’Égypte est un pays où pendant une trentaine d’années un dictateur, Moubarak, a assumé le pouvoir absolu d’une manière particulièrement brutale, tyrannique et arbitraire. Tout en reconnaissant l’évolution extraordinaire de la rue égyptienne, nous reconnaissons aussi dans la réaction de Moubarak quelqu’un qui a le sentiment de jouir d’un soutien non seulement en Égypte, mais ailleurs.
Egypt is a country where for 30 or so years a dictator, in the person of Mubarak, has assumed absolute power in a particularly brutal, tyrannous and arbitrary rule and, while we all recognise the extraordinary evolution on the streets of Egypt, we also recognise in Mubarak’s reaction somebody who feels he has got support, not only in Egypt but elsewhere.
