Cette même tendance a pu être constatée en Irlande où, suite à l'adoption de la "Criminal Justice (Terrorist Offences) Bill 2002", la frontière entre les "troubles à l'ordre public" et les délits terroristes s'est largement estompée, tout délit commis dans l'intention de "forcer indûment le gouvernement à faire ou s'abstenir de faire quelque chose" étant désormais assimilé à un acte de terrorisme.
The same tendency has been noted in Ireland where the passing of the Criminal Justice (Terrorist Offences) Bill 2002 has caused the line between 'public order offences' and terrorist offences to become blurred as any offence which is committed with the intent of 'unduly compelling the government to perform or abstain from an act' is now deemed a terrorist activity.
