Malgré les engagements pris par la Turquie en faveur de la levée - qui devait intervenir à la fin du mois dernier - de l'interdiction actuelle, ce projet de loi, qui prévoit de proroger l'interdiction d'émission de programmes audiovisuels en langue kurde, remet en cause le principe démocratique fondamental de la liberté d'expression et ouvre la voie à l'instauration d'une situation de monopole incontrôlée.
The draft law extends the ban on broadcasting radio and television programmes in the Kurdish language, which Turkey had pledged it would lift at the end of the previous month, thereby jeopardising the fundamental democratic principle of freedom of expression and paving the way for the creation of an uncontrolled monopoly.
